Scientists find herbal supplement to reduce breast cancer tumors

Researchers from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS Medicine) have discovered an herbal supplement to reduce breast cancer tumors, journal ACS Nano writes.

The plant-derived component was created using nanotechnology, and it targets only tumor cells without affecting healthy cells. Moreover, according to scientists, this substance has no side effects.

So far, the technology has been tested in preclinical trials, where it showed complete remission in animals. In the future, scientists want to conduct clinical trials, as well as study the effects of the drug on other types of cancer.
