Columbia University professor appointed advisor to Armenian Health Minister

Professor Kim Hekimian, Ph.D. in Public Health, has been appointed advisor to the Armenian Minister of Health on health policy issues.

Kim Hekimian is a lecturer at Columbia University in New York, deputy director of the VP&S Public Health Program, and lecturer at the American University of Armenia. She specializes in maternal and child health issues.

"This model of collaboration with the diaspora is new. There are public health experts from around the world who are coming together to implement new ideas to provide affordable, equitable and high-quality health services in our country," said Kim Hekimian.
