12:13 23 August, 2024The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Armenia has issued an eight-point guide to not contracting the West Nile fever.
The guide is as follows:
- Limit time spent outdoors between dusk and dawn, when mosquitoes are most active.
- Do not touch dead birds.
- Wear long-sleeved clothes.
- Remove still water around the house to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes.
- Wear disposable gloves and protective clothing during contact with sick animals, during slaughter or butcher processing.
- Avoid long grass, wetlands, bushes, and grassy banks.
- Use insecticides.
- Use mosquito nets on windows and doors.
