Armenian pharmaceutical company PharmaTech received a Certificate of GMP Compliance

PharmaTech has become the third pharmaceutical company in Armenia that has received a Certificate of GMP Compliance. Today, on December 25, the Minister of Health of Armenia Armen Muradyan presented the Certificate to the head of the company Vahan Arushanyan.

"This is an achievement for our country, and it gives us the opportunity to export our products and to represent them on the international market," Mr. Muradyan said.

According to the tradition, the ceremony was attended by the representatives of companies that had previously received GMP, "Liquor" and "Arpimed." The minister also expressed hope that in 2016 more companies will join this list.

Vahan Arushanyan, the head of PharmaTech, said in an interview with NEWS.am Medicine that the company was founded in 1997, and production was launched in May 1998. He noted that the company was originally established in accordance with GMP standards.

PharmaTech makes intravenous infusions for the Armenian and Georgian markets. The head of the company hopes that the certificate will give the opportunity to go to other markets as well. Starting production capacity of the company amounted to 1 million packages a year, now it has reached a production capacity of 6 million a year. The company now plans to launch the production of aseptic facilities and pills.

"For us obtaining the GMP certificate is an extra motivation for new achievements and for promoting the Armenian brand," Mr. Arushanyan he said.
