FEBS Advanced Lecture Course “Current Advances in Pathogen Research”

FEBS Advanced Lecture Course “Current Advances in Pathogen Research” will take place from March 21-26, at the Best Western Congress Hotel, Yerevan, Armenia. These Course are organized by Dr. Hovakim Zakaryan, Dr. Sargis Aghayanan, Dr. Haig Alexander Eskandarian, Dr. Marc Eloit, and Dr. Monsef Benkirane.

This FEBS Advanced Lecture Course has been designed to give students and all participants a deeper insight into the basic knowledge of and novel developments in pathogen research. Our course will cover a range of topics, from bacteria and viruses to parasites and immune response to pathogens. Invited speakers will present new findings on mechanisms of bacteria-host interactions; bacteria-drug interactions; identification of new pathogens; virus-host interactions; immune response to pathogens; future perspectives in pathogen research.

During the conference lecturers from Germany, Austria, Sweden, France, Italy, USA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Armenia will have lectures. The course has poster sessions, where the participants will present and discuss their own work. Based on their poster presentations, a few participants will be selected to prepare short oral presentations. Additionally, the course program includes group discussions at the end of each session day, which aim to stimulate informal discussion about research topics suggested by invited speakers. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
