A pulsating headache is a reason to urgently consult a doctor, because it indicates serious health problems, experts say.
Neurologist Pavel Khoroshev reveals the cases of pain that may signal serious health problems, Narodnye Novosti reported.
According to the specialist, a pronounced debilitating headache may indicate that a person has a violation of the blood supply to the brain. He urged in such cases to see a doctor urgently.
"If self-treatment methods do not help and the symptom persists for several hours, it is necessary to consult a doctor, because it may be a systemic disease that develops," the doctor said.
According to Khoroshev, headaches should not be ignored because a neglected disease can be fraught with disability and death.
