Tsaghik Vardanyan on Monday raised an alarm on Facebook about the death of a child with chickenpox, who was receiving medical care in a hospital in Yerevan, the capital of the Republic of Armenia (RA).

"Today, according to our reliable sources, biological death was recorded of the medical patient (H.K. T.N. born in 2015) who was receiving medical care, with a diagnosis of chickenpox viral infectious disease, at the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center operating under the authority of the Yerevan Municipality.

I should add that according to the international indicator, mortality from chickenpox infection is recorded in 1 out of 60,000 cases.

In June 2020, the RA person in charge of health care was stating that ‘the Chickenpox activeness in Armenia is within normal limits.’

RA Government, RA Ministry of Health, this case of death comes to add to the opinion that your infection professional, personnel policy in Armenia is destructive, to say the least. You have confused the primary with the secondary, the programs you have presented are outdated and only cause headaches for the [Armenian] public, you consider chickenpox to be a manageable infection, but a nine-year-old child is dying.

P.S. Review all your plans. Otherwise, these deaths will enter your backyards as well.

"Our professional team is currently preparing a query to the relevant authorities to find out the professional details of this case of death," Vardanyan wrote.
