March 12, 2020  13:04

Classes and social events in Armenia may be canceled amid the coronavirus outbreak, Armenian health minister Arsen Torosyan told reporters on Thursday.

According to him, public health is the most important thing for the government, and therefore no political issues will stop decision-making on the introduction of the above restrictions. And if necessary, such decisions will be made, and the public will be immediately informed, the minister said.

Classes in schools were canceled for a week when the first patient with coronavirus in Armenia was identified. Thus after diagnosing three more cases of coronavirus, the situation in the country has changed, and if necessary, a decision can be made to cancel school classes, as well as social events.
