The epidemiological situation for measles in Armenia remains favorable thanks to high vaccination coverage and ongoing preventive measures, according to Armenia's National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC).
At the same time, measles outbreaks continue to be reported in a number of countries around the world. Therefore, people planning to travel abroad are advised to make sure they have received the age-appropriate measles vaccinations.
The NCDC reminds the public that vaccination is safe, effective, and the only reliable way to prevent measles. In Armenia, the measles vaccine is available free of charge at all polyclinics.
