Second swine flu death recorded in Armenia

A 62-year-old man died in Yerevan after complications caused by А H1N1 virus, or swine flu.

The man was critical because of pulmonary failure, but his tests showed that he had H1N1 virus. The first victim of the virus was a 55-year-old Armenia woman who died on December 29.

According to the ministry of health, the number of cases of influenza and respiratory infections is increasing. As of January 14, around 1,080 people applied to medical institutions, 837 of them (95 percent of them are children) are treated in the hospitals.
