Fourth imported measles case recorded in Armenia

YEREVAN. – The fourth imported measles case has been recorded in Armenia, national center on disease control and prevention reported.

Italy national has arrived in Armenia from Ukraine. The infected man visited many public places and contacted the locals.

The center urges all citizens to get vaccinated.

Measles is a sharp viral and strictly contagious disease characterized by marked intoxication, as well as catarrhal and rashes. It is an airborne virus and stands out from other controllable viruses with its high level of contagiousness.

Measles becomes more and more complex along with the main symptoms of the disease (intoxication, catarrhal, rashes).
