Watching football match or cardio training?

Good news for football fans: Watching a clash is good for the heart.

Scientists at the University of Leeds (UK) observed the health status of 25 football fans aged 20 to 62 years during the three games of one of the championships. It turned out that while watching the clash, the heart rate increased by about 64%, in some cases reaching 130 beats per minute with a norm of 60-100 beats.

Such a “cardio training," according to the researchers, is equivalent to brisk walking for an hour and a half, while the victory of your favorite team reduces the blood pressure of the fans, and gives them a charge of vivacity for the whole day. But the fans experience an emotional decline when their favorite club loses.
