Relationships with family affect health

Relationships with family affect health.

A new study shows that people who believe that their family does not support them are more likely to suffer from chronic illnesses than those who are not happy with their spouse or partner, CNN reported.

The study examined data collected by nearly 3,000 people between 1995 and 2014. The average age of people was about 45 years during the first round of data collection.

These people were asked to evaluate the quality of the relationship with their family and partner, which was then compared with the total number of chronic diseases, from stroke to headache.

The study showed that tensions with family (parents, brothers, sisters, grandfathers, grandmothers, uncles and aunts) are closely linked to a large number of chronic conditions and poor health.

The study did not reveal such an association due to problematic relationships with spouses.
