“Dr. Google” makes 2 wrong diagnosis out of 5

“Dr. Google” makes two wrong diagnosis out of five, the researchers revealed in a study with the participation of over 2,000 people.

High cost of medical services in the U.S., together with the high cost of insurance and other problems make many Americans turn to the Internet in an attempt to find an explanation for their worrying symptoms. A survey of 2,140 residents of the United States showed that 40% of them got false diagnoses with the help of the so-called “Dr. Google”. In fact, they did not have any diseases, as subsequent examinations showed.

Sixty-five percent of respondents used the Internet for self-diagnosis, but the results did more harm than good.
