COVID-19 cases reach 2,408,160 worldwide

The number of cases of novel coronavirus has reached 2,408,160 in the world. According to worldometers.info/coronavirus/, 165,105 patients have died and 629,061 others have recovered.

In the last few days, the situation with coronavirus in some countries has begun to stabilize, whereas in others, on the contrary, it is deteriorating. We present to your attention 10 countries where the highest number of COVID-19 infections and deaths have been registered so far.1. USA

According to the latest figures, 764,265 people have been infected and 40,565 have died in the United States. The United States now ranks first in the world in terms of both the number of infections and the death rate. There are 2,309 cases of infection per million people; this is a rather high number.

2. Spain

A total of 198,664 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Spain, 4,249 cases per million people, and the death toll is 20,453.

3. Italy

A total of 178,972 people were infected in Italy (2,960 people per one million), and 23,660 people died.

4. France

France ranks fourth in the world in terms of the number of patients, where 152,894 people (2,342 people per one million) were infected with the coronavirus, and 19,718 people died.

5. Germany

Germany is in fifth place with 145,742 infected (1,739 people per one million people) and 4,642 deaths. Interestingly, the death rate from the coronavirus in Germany is much lower than in the four countries listed above.

6. UK

There have been 120,067 infections and 16,060 deaths in the UK. There are 1,769 infected people per one million people.

7. Turkey

Recently, Turkey has surpassed Iran and China in the number of infected. The number of infected is 86,306, the number of deaths is 2,017. There are 1,023 cases of infection per one million people there.

8. China

China is the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic, and some time ago there were the most number of infected and victims there. However, today China ranks only 8th in the world in terms of the number of infected people (82,747, and new cases are recorded less), and the mortality rate is lower than in many other countries. A total of 4,632 patients died there during the pandemic.

9. Iran

The situation in Iran seems to have started to stabilize. A few weeks ago, Iran was in the 2n and 3rd place in terms of the number of infected and deaths, respectively, whereas today it is in the 9th place; a total of 82,211 infections and 5,118 deaths were reported there.

10. Russia

Russia has recently been ranked among the top ten countries with the highest prevalence of COVID-19. The novel coronavirus was diagnosed in 42,853 patients, 361 of whom have died there.
