South Korea decided not to vaccinate the elderly citizens with the AstraZeneca vaccine against COVID-19, Yonhap reported.
AstraZeneca vaccination is scheduled to begin in South Korea on February 26. The most vulnerable groups of the population, including employees and residents of nursing homes, sanatoriums, and rehabilitation centers, will be the first to be vaccinated.
The South Korean government earlier planned to vaccinate 760,000 doctors and the elderly in February-March. However, the decision of the authorities to temporarily not vaccinate citizens over 65 years old may lead to the disruption of plans.
