Vaccination with Pfizer and Moderna does not have serious health consequences, said US researchers, The Journal of the American Medical Association reported.

The Vaccine Safety Datalink, a program of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, analyzed data on the health of 12 million patients: 6.2 million people within three weeks after the first dose and the health of 5.7 million within 3-6 weeks after the second.

Scientists assessed the presence of 23 health consequences of concern to the medical community - symptoms of coronavirus, effects found during vaccine clinical trials, and so on. Among them were diseases of the nervous system (encephalitis, myelitis, and Guillain-Barré syndrome), cardiovascular problems (acute myocardial infarction, stroke, and pulmonary embolism), Bell's palsy, appendicitis, and anaphylaxis.

Then, using statistical analysis, the researchers estimated the number of cases of this or that symptom at a certain threshold - the "signal". None of the consequences reached him. At the same time, researchers noted an increase in myocarditis and pericarditis after vaccination among young people. Among evacuated patients aged 12 to 39 years, there were 6.3 additional cases of myocarditis per million doses.
