Worldometers.info: COVID-19 death toll rises to 114,272 worldwide

The death toll from the novel coronavirus has risen to 114,272 worldwide. According to worldometers.info/coronavirus/, 1,853,619 people have already been infected with this disease, whereas 427,806 others have recovered from it.

Currently, 1,311,541 patients are receiving treatment, and 50,858 (4%) of them are either in severe or critical condition.

The United States is now in first place both in the number of infected and deaths; according to the latest data, 560,433 people have already been infected, and 22,115 others have died there.In the second place in the number of infected people is Spain is where there are 166,831 cases of infection and 17,209 deaths.

Italy is in third place with 156,363 infected and 19,899 deaths.

China, where the COVID-19 epidemic began late last year, now ranks seventh in the world in terms of the number of infected people (82,160 infected, 2,241 deaths). It is followed by Armenia’s neighbors Iran (71,686/4,474) and Turkey (56,956/1,198).
