Skyler Herbert, 5, from the US city of Detroit, Michigan, died from the COVID-19 rare complications, The Detroit News reported.
According to the publication, in late March, the girl complained of a headache, and painkillers did not help her. On March 23, her parents showed her to a doctor who prescribed antibiotics.
After Skylar was admitted, doctors treated her and while she started to show signs of improvement Skylar soon began relapsing.
However, on Sunday, after spending two weeks on a ventilator, the girl died as she had developed a rare form of meningitis and brain swelling.
