YEREVAN. – No new strains of COVID-19 have been detected in Armenia yet. The minister of health, Anahit Avanesyan, told this to reporters Tuesday.
According to her, a special DNA sequencing test is conducted to detect a strain of the coronavirus, several such tests have already been conducted in the country, but no new strains of COVID-19 have been found in the samples.
As per the minister, the information being disseminated in the country about coronavirus strains is important from the epidemiological point of view, so now measures are being taken to expand the capacity for conducting sequencing tests in Armenia.
