The processes related to the import of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Armenia depend on the results of research and the course of events; it is not ruled out that Armenia will import this vaccine against COVID-19. The Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, on Thursday told about this to reporters.
According to her, researchers should study not only the quality of this vaccine, but also its details related to transportation, and the opinions of the professional commission will be the basis for further decisions.
"We [Armenia] are holding talks with the COVAX facility platform; yes, also with AstraZeneca, and we will continue to do so. We will make our decisions based on the conclusions of professional international organizations," the minister added.
According to her, Armenia is not going to focus on only one vaccine against the coronavirus. "We are going to have several options," Avanesyan noted.
