Russia researchers develop biologically active additives that can reduce coronavirus concentration in body

Specialists from the 27th Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Russia have created rare biologically active additives (BAA) which can reduce the concentration of coronavirus in patients by 16 times. This was stated by Major General Igor Kirillov, the head of the Russian military's radiation, chemical, and biological protection troops.

In a conversation with Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper, he said that after evaluating the effectiveness of these BAA, a Russian state registration certificate was issued for one of them.

"Our experiments have shown that already on the second day of the use of these biologically active food additives, which have been named called 'CovBAA,' the amount of the virus in the nose and throat is reduced by half, and on the sixth day, its concentration is reduced by 16 times," Kirillov said.

According to him, this innovation reduces the impact of the coronavirus on the human body, as a result of which the disease progresses with less complications.

Igor Kirillov added that the main components of these “CovBAA” are aronia and echinacea extract, fucoidan, hydrolyzate of the Pacific squid, and several other natural substances which increase the body's defense against the virus.
