YEREVAN. – The results of sequencing (positive PCR test samples) have showed that the BA.2 subvariant of the Omicron variant COVID-19 is also circulating in Armenia, according to the Ministry of Health.
As per researchers, the BA.2 is more contagious than the previous subvariant, and according to a number of studies, it may have a more severe course of the coronavirus.
