The mpox virus, which is spreading from the Democratic Republic of Congo, has caused an emergency situation, reports the RFE/RL Armenian service.
The Ministry of Health of Armenia has already reacted to this situation, with a call to follow the rules of hygiene and avoid contact with people with rashes.
The ministry added that vaccination against smallpox is 85% effective for mpox, too.
