Women shaved their heads to support their friend who had breast cancer
11 women shaved their heads to support their friend, Gerdi McKenna, South Africa, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. The video which showed how Gerdi met her friends has touched everyone who saw it, Metro reports.
Gerdi McKenna was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago, and she had lost her hair because of chemotherapy she had to undergo. Her friends were really brave to shave their heads to support her. “If I only think what Gerdi is going through, then this is nothing,” one of her friends said on the video.
This video has been made and uploaded by South African photographer Albert Bredenhann. He also made a touching photoshoot for these women. As for all their hair, it was donated to the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) to be braided into wigs for other cancer patients.
