How long does it take to develop vaccine against Chinese coronavirus?
It will take a total of six months to create a vaccine against the new coronavirus 2019-nCoV, while the development of the drug can take up to three months, said Russian specialist.
In an interview with the Izvestia newspaper, he noted that investments would be required to develop such a vaccine, but this is a necessary step. A vaccine can be a real salvation if it turns out that the virus has a high mortality rate, and if it begins to spread throughout Russia and other countries.
According to him, creating a vaccine will not be very difficult, since the virus is conservative.
The 2019-nCoV coronavirus is transmitted from person to person. People infected have fever, fatigue and cough with a slight sputum.
According to experts, the number of infected can reach 1700 people. Most infected with the new coronavirus are registered in the Chinese city of Wuhan. Several cases were recorded outside of China - in Japan, South Korea, Thailand and the US. A total of four people have already died due to the virus.
