Who is the coronavirus test for in Armenia?
Armenia already has the test required for detecting the coronavirus. The country has received 200 tests as assistance from Russia and is expected to receive another batch of tests from China. This is what Deputy General Director of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention at the Ministry of Healthcare of Armenia Nune Bakunts and Head of the Virological Laboratory Shushan Sargsyan reported today.
The specialists stated that the tests will be for those who already have symptoms of the disease and have been in China or had contact with a person infected with the coronavirus.
According to the specialists, the results are clear within three to four hours after reaching the laboratory, and the test is highly sensitive and is 99% accurate.
The first coronavirus test has been carried out in Armenia, and the result was negative. The person was from China and had returned to Armenia with a fever.
