Over 20 tests for coronavirus have already been done in Armenia, the results of all were negative, Armenian health minister Arsen Torosyan told reporters on Wednesday.

According to the minister, they carry out all the necessary anti-epidemiological measures in accordance with international recommendations in Armenia. All passengers arriving from China are checked at the airport.

There is no need to isolate all people arriving in Armenia, the minister considers the anti-epidemiological measures carried out today to be successful and effective.

Torosyan also noted the risk of the spread of coronavirus in Armenia is considered low, since there are no direct flights from China to Armenia, there are few transit flights, and all passengers are checked. The temporary suspension of the free visa regime between China and Armenia will also help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
