Man loses 60lb to donate his kidney to twin brother

February 11, 2020  15:58

James Ingley from the American city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, lost 60lb to become a kidney donor for his twin brother, Unilad reported.

A 26-year-old Dalton Ingley was diagnosed with glomerulonephritis, which led to kidney failure. Dalton needed regular dialysis. And after the pneumonia suffered in January 2018, he had to be connected to the hemodialysis apparatus. He had to quit his job.

The young man needed a kidney transplant, and his twin brother James volunteered. To get permission for the operation, James needed to lose weight.

When James lost 60lb, doctors were able to transplant his kidney to his brother. The operation was successful and is recovering now.
