High antibody levels cannot guarantee protection against coronavirus, said Russian specialist Tatiana Nepomnyashchikh.
According to the specialist, excessive stimulation of the immune system is not very good. There must be a sufficient titer of antibodies and other elements of the immune system, so they can, in combination, provide protection against coronavirus.
According to her, the EpiVacCorona vaccine developed by the center does not pursue a wide variety of types of antibodies and their high levels. The drug targets the production of antibodies that are needed to protect against coronavirus infection.
