October 1, 2021  12:14

COVID-19 patients face the first symptoms that differ from those seen during the previous waves.

Now the symptoms of coronavirus infection are more like signs of flu, Russian doctors told Public News Service.

According to the specialist, patients infected with the coronavirus now face symptoms such as a runny nose, pain, and sore throat. Cough with a lot of phlegm develops quickly and lasts a long time.

The specialist also warned about severe neurological symptoms: many patients experience dizziness, headaches, severe weakness. Fainting is possible when trying to stand up suddenly. All these symptoms appear on the second day at the most and last for weeks.

Some of the previous symptoms, however, also persisted. These include, for example, indigestion, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and nausea and vomiting.
