76 cases of influenza A virus subtype H3 confirmed in Armenia

High activity due to acute respiratory infections continues to be recorded in Armenia.
According to the results of the monitoring carried out by National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the respective cases are 2.2 times higher than the epidemic threshold, and twice higher compared to the same period of the previous year.
The analysis by age groups shows that these cases are higher among the up to 4- and the 5- to 14-year-olds in Armenia.
During the last four weeks, 76 cases of the influenza A virus subtype H3 were confirmed in the laboratory, and 30 of them were detected among pregnant women.
