What shouldn't you eat with high heart rate?

August 30, 2022  15:24

Yuri Serebryansky, a cardiologist and honorary doctor of the Russian Federation, told Moscow 24 what you should not consume if your pulse rate is elevated.

According to him, values between 60 and 90 are considered the norm. If higher, it is already tachycardia.

"When the pulse is high, you can not drink coffee, strong tea," says the doctor, explaining that the caffeine contained in them will further increase the heart rate.

"Smoking, alcohol also disrupt the heart rate. The heart rate can get even higher and lead to heart failure," the cardiologist noted.

If the heart rate gets to high levels (more than 90 at rest), the cardiologist advises not to self-medicate, but to call an ambulance.
