In some cases, laughter can be dangerous to health, Russian neurologist Pavel Kotov told Radio Sputnik.

As noted by the specialist, laughing can be dangerous for people who have problems with pressure, blood vessels, heart, as well as respiratory diseases.

According to the neurologist, laughter leads to a spike in pressure and affects blood vessels.

The specialist explained that if a patient with hypertension during a hypertensive crisis provokes unrestrained laughter, it can be fatal, because laughter can provoke a pressure spike.

A neurologist also warned about the dangers of laughing while eating, NVL reported.
