Yerevan to host Armenian 2nd multidisciplinary Obesity Conference

The Armenian second multidisciplinary Obesity Conference will be held, from Friday to Sunday, at Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall in Yerevan.

This disease, which is growing every year, is already considered a non-infectious pandemic. Notably, individuals who are obese or overweight often suffer from multiple chronic conditions, making it necessary to address both the primary disease and reduce body mass using various conservative and surgical methods.

More than three dozen specialists from Armenia, Europe, the US, Qatar, the UK, Russia, etc.—and including public health professionals and surgeons—will attend this three-day conference.

The annual Obesity Conference aims to consolidate efforts through an interdisciplinary approach to combat this non-communicable epidemic.
