Newly developed toothpaste replicates tooth enamel restoration’s natural mechanism
The Russian company Arnest UniRus has received a patent for the Nano Plomba technology for toothpastes, which, when used regularly, reproduces the natural mechanism of tooth enamel restoration, the company told RIA Novosti.
Arnest UniRus has obtained a patent for the innovative Nano Plomba technology, which underlies the products of the new Tiswell brand. “The Nano Plomba technology is based on a complex of nanohydroxyapatite and arginine, which, when used regularly, replicates the natural mechanism of tooth enamel restoration,” the respective statement said.
Nanohydroxyapatite, being a source of calcium, is identical to natural hydroxyapatite, which makes up 75% of the mineral content of tooth enamel and is supplemented there.
The aforesaid technology forms a calcium-rich layer on the surface of tooth enamel, filling microcracks and restoring micro-damages.
Also, an acid-resistant protective layer forms on the tooth surface, preventing bacterial adhesion, the formation of plaque, and protecting against early caries.
