9,051,949 COVID-19 cases recorded globally

A total of 9,051,949 COVID-19 cases have been recorded globally, worldometers.info reported.

In the meantime, 4,842,043 patients have already recovered, while the death toll has reached 470,822.

Currently, 3,739,084 COVID-19 patients are being treated with 54,736 (1%) cases considered to be severe or extremely severe.

The US leads in the number of COVID-19 cases (2,356,715) and deaths (122,248). However, it ranked 12th in the number of cases per one million inhabitants (7,121 cases), leaving behind Armenia with 6,840 cases.

Meanwhile, San-Marino leads in the number of COVID-19 deaths per one million people (1,238), while Armenia ranked 26th in this regard with 118 deaths.
