The risk of myocarditis as a result of COVID-19 is seven times higher than from vaccinations. Researchers at the Medical College of Pennsylvania have come to such a conclusion, whose respective article has been published in the scientific journal Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine.
Researchers have conducted the largest study of the risk of developing myocarditis to date—and based on data from 58 million patients. As a result, researchers have found that the risk of myocarditis in patients with COVID-19 is 15 times higher than in those who have not contracted the coronavirus.
The researchers then compared vaccinated and unvaccinated people, separately. The result showed that the occurrence of myocarditis among the vaccinated was twice as high as among the non-vaccinated. But at the same time, the risk of myocarditis with COVID-19 was seven times higher than among the vaccinated. This shows that the benefits of vaccines far outweigh their risks.
