Exclusive video from maternity hospital: Gohar Goginyan a happy mother of triplet

December 5, 2013  16:28

YEREVAN. – The resident of Armenian city of Vanadzor Gohar Goginyan is now a happy mother of three: two boys and a girl. A triplet was born in Yerevan’s Erebuni medical center on Thursday.

Talking to the NEWS.am Medicine correspondent, the 32-year-old woman said the news was unexpected.

“During consultation I found out that it would be a triplet. First I felt a little strange after not having a baby for seven years,” Gohar says.

Kristina (1 kilo 580 grams) was born first and then her brothers Garik (1 kilo 650) and Gevorg (1 kilo 250 grams). Father, Armen Sharkhyyan has not left hospital for several days. Children’s grandmothers and relatives promised to help happy parents.

Despite the difficult pregnancy and cesarean section, Gohar feels good. Most of the day she spends with her husband at the intensive care unit for newborns.

Head of the Department Larisa Yeritsyan said that the state of children is moderately serious.

“All three are doing well, but they are getting food through a special probe. When the mother is able to feed the children, they will be transferred to the ward,” she said.
