Scientists to fake friendliness – is harmful to health

Came to this conclusion by the American sociologist Arlie Russell Hochshild. He proved the harm of professions that require emotional labor and are associated with the concealment of the true experiences of the person.

Suppression of emotions inevitably leads to stress, anxiety and burnout. This was possible through the research. Hochshild argues that emotional labor is a complex work to create a specific emotional image, face, and body language in the workplace. The generation of emotions can occur in different ways. Employees as hiding negative emotions and encourage kindness, fulfilling professional responsibilities.

Experts argue that the emotional labour is a feature of almost every profession that involves interaction with people. Most of all, for a burnout due to excess of emotional work flight attendants complain. They are forced not to Express negative emotions, and always maintain the goodwill and disposition to passengers.
