Thieves return stolen wrestling belts to boy ahead of his brain surgery

July 1, 2019  16:20

An unusual story took place in Washington (USA) as the thieves apologized and returned the stolen wrestling belts to a boy who is going to have a brain surgery, Fox News reported

Five-year-old Timmy suffers from autism. Before a brain surgery to cheer up the boy, his father Tim Vick borrowed from his friend a few WWE wrestling belts. The boy was very fond of these trophies, and did not part with them even falling asleep.

“But Moreira said that while he was at a wrestling event, he got a notification on his phone that there was activity on his porch, and watched as two women took the box to a waiting car and sped off,” the source noted.

Two days later, the same car Moreira saw on his camera pulled back into the driveway and dropped a bag in front of him, along with a four-page note.

“Never in a million years would I have expected I would have stolen from a sick 5-year-old,” the letter allegedly read, according to KIRO-TV. “I have a 6-year-old myself and I’m ashamed of what I did."

The local police said they were not going to press charges against the kidnappers.

Meanwhile, the father of the sick boy holds a fundraiser to cover the costs of the upcoming operation.
