July 10, 2019  12:00

The first child was born in US, Cleveland from a woman who had a uterus transplanted of a deceased donor, Daily Mail reported

According to the source, a 30-year-old woman was one of the participants in US research, which involved 10 females in their 20s and 30s. They were all born without a womb. Uterus transplantation took place at the end of 2017, and a year later a woman became pregnant with IVF.

Thanks to a uterus transplant from a living donor (usually a family friend or relative), around 12 women in the world could know motherhood.

In December last year, doctors from Brazil reported the birth of the first child in the world, who was able to endure with the help of a uterus transplanted from a dead donor.
