Vitamin B12 deficiency can be manifested with the most unexpected symptoms, including change of condition of tongue. When a person has vitamin B12 deficiency, the tongue (tip or edges) sometimes start itching and even hurting.

According to The Daily Express, this vitamin is important for production of red blood cells and for keeping the nervous system healthy.

Vitamin B12 is mainly contained in meat products, and this is why vegans and vegetarians are at risk of having vitamin B12 deficiency.

If vitamin B12 deficiency is not restored, there might be serious deviations in terms of mobility, eyesight and memory, infertility and stomach cancer.

Other common symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency are fatigue, headaches, bad appetite, etc.
