American Medical Association urges elimination of e-cigarettes

September 11, 2019  10:45

The American Medical Association (AMA) has called for an end to the use of e-cigarettes, Voice of America reported.

According to the statement, the spread of pulmonary diseases associated with e-cigarettes in the country reinforces our belief that the use of electronic cigarettes and vaping has become an epidemic.

AMA is one of the most famous and influential medical organizations in the US. She warned that vapers with breathing problems, chest pains, or a strong cough should seek immediate medical attention.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sent a warning to JUUL - the largest electronic cigarette manufacturer - to accuse JUUL of breaking the law: making unsafe statements about the safety of its products.

Vaping is thought to be the cause of 450 newly diagnosed pulmonary disorders in the US, resulting in five deaths.
