WHO: Many countries will revise COVID-19 death numbers

June 11, 2020  14:14

Many countries will soon revise the COVID-19 death numbers, the World Health Organization's (WHO) Maria Van Kerkhove noted.

According to lenta.ru, some changes will occur as a result of the revision of the numbers.

Earlier, Michael Ryan, executive director of the WHO Health Emergencies Program, said the COVID-19 mortality rate in Russia was hard to understand.

According to him, the Russian authorities should reconsider the methods for identifying and reporting deaths, since a low level of deaths with a high incidence rate looks 'unusual', rbc.ru reported.
