YEREVAN. – Vaccinations against COVID-19 are getting underway Tuesday at the polyclinics of Yerevan.

And on Wednesday, these inoculations are planned to start in the provinces of Armenia.

The AstraZeneca vaccine is currently available to patients, but the Sputnik V vaccine will also be available in a few days.

Several polyclinics in the Armenian capital told NEWS.am Medicine that they received the AstraZeneca vaccine Monday afternoon and today they will start working with patients at the high-risk group. These people will be called for inoculations, which will actually start in the coming days.

And the staff of pharmacies has said that since each ampoule of this vaccine is intended for several people, it is important to carry out these vaccinations in a way that the required number of people can be gathered so that this medicine does not remain in an open ampoule and does not spoil.

As reported earlier, Armenia has recently acquired AstraZeneca and Sputnik V vaccines, with 24,000 and 15,000 batches, respectively.
