Armenian acting minister: Chinese COVID-19 vaccine will be available to citizens aged over 18
The Chinese coronavirus vaccine will be available to citizens aged over 18, Acting health minister Anahit Avanesyan told reported.
Next week, Armenia will receive 100,000 doses of the Chinese coronavirus vaccine for 50,000 patients.
All citizens over the age of 18 can apply for the vaccine, she said.
According to her, the effectiveness of the vaccine refers to the asymptomatic transmission of the disease. However, all vaccines provide 100% protection against severe and extremely severe diseases.
There is a great interest in the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in Armenia. It is also available to citizens. New doses of the vaccine are expected every one to two weeks.
Over 4,000 people have already died from the coronavirus in Armenia, and this is a catastrophic situation.
