COVID-19 mutations can reduce the effectiveness of vaccinations. However, by changing the vaccination schedule, it will be possible to withstand COVID-19, the immunologist, candidate of medical sciences Nikolai Kryuchkov, noted.
According to the specialist, to increase the effectiveness of vaccination, you can also increase the injection interval from 21 days to 28 or 35 days.
The most optimal thing is to gradually change the antigenic composition of vaccines. After that, start mass vaccination with a new drug. That is, not to vaccinate separately the old and separately the new, but replace the old drug with a new one, he noted.
According to him, such a scheme will return the effectiveness of vaccines to the level of 90-95%.
