What disease can belly button pain indicate?

Belly button pain can be a symptom of small bowel cancer, according to Russian oncologist Ivan Karasev.

In an interview with Channel Five, the specialist said that for a long time, small intestine cancer could only be diagnosed during surgery. The thing is that the disease may not give itself away, so it is difficult to make a correct diagnosis and prescribe treatment in a timely manner. Very often, the tumor is found already at a late stage, when there is practically no chance of recovery.

In order to protect yourself and calculate a deadly disease in time, it is recommended to reconsider your lifestyle and respond to body signals. So, according to the oncologist, the following symptoms may indicate the development of a dangerous disease: bloating, pain in the navel area, stool disturbance, blood discharge in the feces, nausea or vomiting.

“The relatively asymptomatic development of the disease leads to the fact that the tumor is detected already at the last stage. Although in 80% of timely visits to the doctor, positive dynamics can be achieved,” said Karasev.
