New milestone in diagnostics: Latest MRI machine at Proton center

Proton diagnostic center officially opened its doors.

It was created by the joint efforts of the MRI consultant of Armenian and Artsakh Ministers of Health, doctor-radiologist Narek Matinyan, general director of Shengavit Medical Center Alexander Urumyan, and the businessman Shahnazaryan family.

The latest generation 3 tesla magnetic resonance tomograph from the German company Siemens is installed in the center, which enables accurate diagnosis at the earliest stage of the disease.

Proton is one of the unique cantons in the region, where:

• The latest exclusive examinations are performed, such as: fetal MRI, MR-enterography, functional MRI.
• So far, the only MRI-compatible anesthesia equipment in Armenia has been installed, which enables MRI to be performed on patients in critical condition.
• The only Ambient system in the region is installed, which allows the patient to choose an environment and watch videos during the examination. This system makes it possible to examine both children and patients with claustrophobia without anesthesia, eliminating the feeling of a closed environment.
• Neonatal and child examinations are carried out using modern methods, if necessary, with the use of anesthesia.

Proton is located inside Shengavit MC, works every day, cooperates with insurance companies, also serves social package beneficiaries.
